Happy 6th Birthday Peanut!

Happy sixth birthday to you Aubrey dear! Wow! What happens to the time? It was only ten minutes ago that I brought her home from the hospital. Now, here she is-- all six and adorable, and kindergarteny, and full of a little attitude. Her sweet sixteen is looming in 13 minutes, according to this unfair timewarp I've caught myself in.

We celebrated Aubrey's birthday in a kind of relaxing way. Robb made her breakfast, then took her "girl shopping" afterschool to the mall. She came home with all sorts of girlie stuff. Check out her new outfit: I may be biased, but she's pretty adorable, huh? She's like a mini Hayden Panettiere. She's really into being cool lately, and that means not smiling for pictures. But, she still looks cute, so ah well, whattaya do?

Thank you grandma Paulla and Papa Pete for the balloons!

After her shopping/spoiling expedition, Emi and I took her to Toys R Us, to pick out her a couple of toys. She had gotten a birthday card from the store, and she was dying to spend her "credit card" a $3 coupon, and who am I to resist on her birthday?

I love this expression on her face!

After that, we headed home for pizza dinner from her favorite, Papa Tom's, and then we made clown ice cream cones. The kids had a blast making the little clown faces. By then, the house was trashed, and the kids ( well, parents, too.) were starting to get cranky so we bagged having a big bash, and just decided to chill with the princess on her birthday. Her baca and duppy had to swing by to wish her well.... ...and Unkie Ski stopped by to play Barbie's with her. Here's proof that my little brother is a fancypantsnancy Barbie doll playin' fool. But, the kids loved it, so who am I to tease?

Unlike his pops, at least Karsten knows how to rock the boy toys... :)

All in all, I think it was a pretty good day for her! I hope she enjoyed her day. Aubrey is beautiful, witty, sweet and incredibly imaginitive. I love her so much.... I just can't imagine our family without her.

Happy 6th birthday kiddo! I love you to pieces.
